Protesting VAAPCON’s Star Chambers

Press Release, 27 Nov., 1995 Issued by NOVA (Project Life – Northern Virginia) Directed by Jack Humphries 703-912-6426

Project Life – NOVA deplores the trampling of First Amendment rights of speech and association which are being violated by the federal Task Force onViolence Against Abortion Providers. We denounce the tactics of this Task Force as represented in the action of Judge Brinkema in jailing Cheryl Richardson this day in Alexandria. We recognize that she has acted at the behest of the Task Force attorneys (Messrs. Burrows, Kowalski, Forner, et al). We announce a prayer vigil outside the courtroom this evening at 7:30 p.m. at 200 S. Washington St. in Alexandria. NOVA also announces protests at the same location tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. when the grand jury resumes its inquisition against other anti-abortion activists.
