Suppressing the Truth in Unrighteousness

Lifesitenews.com provided an excellent illustration of the role of language and propaganda in the so-called “culture war.” The effort to advance the Truth in the face of those who want to suppress it meets with truly dishonest and deceitful tactics. Read on and recognize the fact that those who love the darkness hate the truth and do, indeed, suppress it (cf. Romans chapter 1).

Elizabeth O’Brien writes under the title, “New York Daily News Promotes Pro-Abortion Language in Writers Guidelines” (June 14, 2007, Lifesitenews.com), about the paper’s “writing requirements for its employees. They are to:

“avoid certain words when dealing with the abortion issue. The words ‘pro-life’ and ‘pro-lifers,’ “for example, must be replaced with ‘abortion foes’, ‘abortion opponents’ or in the case of constricted title space, ‘abort foes’… The positive terms ‘pro-life’ and ‘pro-lifers’ may be used only within direct quotations.”

Ah, but get this!

“On the other hand, when describing someone who supports abortion as a woman’s right, writers must choose positive terms, such as ‘abortion rights activist,’ ‘pro-abortion rights,’ or ‘pro-choice.’ The term “pro-abortion” must be avoided.”

And when a woman with child is referenced, particularly since she can be “de-childed” at the stroke or two of a curette, one must at all costs avoid calling her “mother”! No! Do not allow people to regard her as such! No. They must be kept in the comfortable darkness and be permitted to continue merrily in their delusion.
