The Pledge of Allegiance, Anno Domini 2019

For American Christians:

I pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, the country into which the Lord of the universe has placed me (for some reason, of course).  I offer thanks to Him for establishing governments in the earth according to His good pleasure and for the benefit of the citizens of each nation – all of which He has ordained according to His awesome purposes. 

I promise to do my duty to God – yea the Messiah and Lord ofthe Universe – in accordance with His Law and the moral precepts containedtherein and proceeding therefrom. 

I therefore will obey all laws of this land which do notdeviate or countermand the Law of God.

Accordingly, I will dutifully advise all earthly authorities of the true origin of their powers, the standard and God by which and by Whom they will be judged.

I affirm that this duty and this pledge is the rightful obligation of all Christians within the realm of our United States as it is the rightful duty of all Christians in any nation.  

This duty I will honor, so help me God.
