Please accept our signatures in affirmation of your written statement:

“As a pastor of the Church of Jesus Christ, I support Judge Roy Moore and his recent written comments on law, the custody of children, and homosexual parents (D.H. vs. H.H. [Jefferson Circuit Court, DR-99-1301; Court of Civil Appeals, 2991129]). I commend Judge Moore’s opinion which so accurately reflects the intent of America’s founders that this nation’s system of civil government and jurisprudence must be predicated upon “the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” as is obvious by America’s charter, the Declaration of Independence. America’s founders defined

those laws as “God’s dictated or natural law” and “God’s revealed law as found in Holy Scripture.” They agreed with the great English jurist William Blackstone who stated that “no human laws should be suffered to contradict these.”

“I also commend Judge Moore for using clear, concise, and meaningful language which is rooted not only in the Bible but also in America’s common law heritage which in turn is based on God’s eternal precepts.   It is my prayer as a pastor and Christian that persons committing homosexual acts will repent, believe the gospel, and call upon the name of the Lord for salvation. It is also my prayer that God will raise up many more judges such as Roy Moore—men who are willing to judge righteous judgment (John 7:24) in all matters brought before them. It is the civil government’s holy duty to punish evil and reward good (Romans 13:3-4).

“Homosexual acts are an evil which pervert God’s natural creation order, violate his moral law, destroy many lives, and bring God’s judgment on our land. I am thankful that Judge Roy Moore has used law lawfully (1 Timothy 1:8-11), and in so doing, has taken a step toward returning our nation’s system of jurisprudence back to righteousness. Judge Roy Moore should be commended and supported by all Americans who claim the name of Christ.
