Absalom Was Stuck in a Tree

2 Sam 18 (3 Aug., 2021) Absalom was stuck in a tree Hanging by his hair for all to see (v. 9) Well, the word got back to Joab And he decided he would take a stab. He took three spears in his hand (14) And put them through the heart of that man There he was, hanging down from that oak (14) The life of that rebel became a sad joke. Threw him down into a hole in the ground (17) Piled some stones on tope so his grave could be found; Had no kids to carry on his name, So they him a pillar for some fame (18) Then said Ahimaaz, “I got some news for the king. The Lord has freed him from his enemies!” “What a gas!” said Ahimaz, “I got to tell the king! (19) This news a fellow wants to sing!” But Joab said, “You ain’t the man to tell! The news is bad.  It won’t go well”
