2 Chron 22, 23
Ahaziah and Joram were rebel fools Went out against Jehu, the Lord’s anointed, To cut the house of Ahab off, (7) A move quite worthy of a scoff. While Jehu was smackin’ Ahab down, (8) He slew the princes of Judah too. Caught Ahaziah hiding in Samaria; (9) Brought him to Jehu for his own burial -The end of the line for the house of Ahaziah. But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of Joram, Married to a priest called Jehoiada, Hid little Joash from Athaliah, (12) A whole six years in the dark! Then Jehoiada, the priest, made a plan; Rounded up five captains of hundreds (23:1) And made a covenant with those fellows; Gathered up those Levites from all the cities; Crowned little Joash and made him king. (3) Levites only in the house of the Lord! (6) The priest gave the captains shields and spears: (9) David’s weapons over the years. He stationed the people on the left and right; Joash was crowned king in everyone’s sight. (11)
