Gosnell – the movie

19 Oct., 2018

The movie’s full title is “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer.” I expect to see it soon if for no other reason  than to support the effort in hopes that “the message gets out.”  I look for forward to that day when we try, convict,  and terminate (uh, execute) unwanted criminal baby-killers.

Yeah, you know, life goes on – 44 years and counting – Gosnellian monsters notwithstanding.   We ex-utero folks are safe and sound;  we still live and breathe and rear our families and even enjoy some grandchildren.   And then comes another reminder – even a public and cinematic one.  They still butcher babies in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.  “Gosnell,”  the movie, tells the story of an abortionist named Kermit Gosnell.  The Grand Jury report, summed up by the Philadelphia Daily News (May 15. 2013),  said:

In his squalid West Philadelphia abortion clinic, Kermit Gosnell had a surefire way of dealing with the unwelcome complication of a live birth: He’d allegedly plunge scissors into the squirming newborn’s neck, killing it by severing the spinal cord.

Sometimes, the elderly physician didn’t do this right away. Often, he allegedly gave the chore to his unlicensed office staff. One premature infant wiggled around on a counter for 20 minutes before an untrained worker slit his neck – after first playing with him.

Those allegations were among countless bombshells in a 261-page grand-jury report that District Attorney Seth Williams released yesterday.

Gosnell was charged with infanticide in the deaths of seven viable infants and with murder in the Nov. 20, 2009, death of Karnamaya Mongar, 41, a Nepalese refugee who died of too much anesthesia at Gosnell’s clinic. Other charges against Gosnell include conspiracy, solicitation to commit murder, abuse of a corpse, corrupt organizations, corruption of minors, drug offenses, hindering prosecution and violations of abortion law.

He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.  No execution for his true crimes of serial murder.

Yes, the nation is in need of awakening to its bloody tolerance of baby killing and to reckon with the just punishment for capital crimes.   Execution of murderers is a necessity that a nation of Laws must not neglect to carry out.  I don’t know whether we ought to opt for a swift and painless execution or an extended trial and torturous execution.   “Drawing and quartering” would, of course, be the most appropriate mode of execution for this holocaust practitioner.  But we are too “civilized” to countenance such old-timey execution methods.
