On The “Violence” of Religion

All rational people approve the use of force to help an innocent person escape from the danger  or  threat of death.

It is a different situation when the person threatened with death is guilty – by virtue of  his threatening the life of an innocent person.

If an aggressor is threatening an innocent person with imminent death, the aggressor may be “taken out” by any means available.

This guilty one, who is guilty indeed by his threatening posture wherein he displays his intention to murder another, may be “taken out,” indeed, by any means available.

There is nothing “violent” (as in unnecessarily forceful) with such innocent life-saving action.

Such religion is not to be assessed as “violent,” but one which  affirms the just use of force to defend the innocent.
