Got A Hitch To My Walk

Got a hitch to my walk; And it ain’t just talk. Got pain with every step! No fun to go out; Can’t sing or shout When those hips are cryin’ Out for mercy! Oh my, oh me Count it one, two, three And I’m done and been set free From the walk and the pain. Don’t matter what the gain, Just got to sit down on the butt. Might cost me my trimmed up gut, But pain leaves you lame When you can’t walk without it. Got to sit and write poetry; Others get blessed. Don’t ya see? Well I’m gettin’ a rest With my feet on the desk Tappin’ at it: one, two, three. On to some other mighty meditations; Got to write and compose for others. Like it or not, ’tis my druthers.
