Jesus, the “Son” of God

Somehow, this expression has been a stumbling block for many-a Bible reader who picks up the book and presumes selfishly upon himself the ability to assess every expression or term that might be used to describe such ethereal matters and subjects as God Himself.   Some (e.g. Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, V.P Wierville Wayists) assume from this expression that this “Son” had a beginning like all of us earthly human sons.

Stupid, it may seem, and may well be.

“Son” is basically one who proceeds from or is subordinate to another.  So may be the case of one who exists eternally with almighty glory but yet shares such with another!  (Hint, the true God is a plural being with innate relational capacity: one who loves and one who receives love and this love may, indeed, be reciprocated among three!)

Is the concept of eternal love not consistent with the idea of plurality within this solitary eternal being?

Yes.  So God, within Himself (yes, “HIMself” as He identifies, not HERself.  Sorry, radical feminists, anarchists, and egalitarians) is a plural being. And consider that subjects and objects may exchange LOVE.

Jesus, the Son, existed eternally in relationship with the Father and the Spirit.
