Kids, A Blessing

Got kids to take care of us in our old age. Didn’t get all that liberty and cheap living As others were spending money on themselves Living it up and running around – child free. We were rearing those kids and they do serve As a kind of insurance (uncompelled of course) For us oldies as the evidence grows each day. Not a matter of fault; all about that choice. Live with the consequences of your decisions; The government, the people, owe you nothing. You’re free to choose life, death, children or barrenness; It was all you, if you’re in a mess and in distress. Didn’t think of the future or God’s word on the matter? Says children are “a blessing”;  so what’s all the chatter? Not just a drag, nor trouble; not just an imposition; Yeah they were Agents of Serious Sanctification! The Lord used those little critters and helped us along; Kept lots of vulnerable folks from using that bong.
