On Free Will and Lawlessness Re: Kristen Gillibrand

Democratic presidential candidate Kristen Gillibrand appeared at the Georgia state house on16 May, 2019.  She said:   “If you are a person of the Christian faith, one of the tenants of our faith is free will.  One of the tenants of our democracy is that we have a separation of church and state, and under no circumstances are we supposed to be imposing our faith on other people. And I think this is an example of that effort.”

Well, well, well! That celebrated book from which this poseur would quote says a few otherthings as well.   But to be clear, there“free will” is not a tenant of the faith.  “Free will was lost in the fall.  Man’s will is corrupted by his fallen,selfish, disgusting nature.  He worshipsand serves his own interests (See Romans, chapters 1-3 for a summary of man’spsychological and legal status from the Divine perspective.)

Should this presumptuous explicator of the doctrines ofChristian faith wish to explore the precepts laid down in that book, known asthe “Scriptures” or the “Bible,” she will readily discoverthat nothing of “separation of church and state.”  But it does speak of the Law of God as thatwhich He has decreed to be both good and binding upon all mankind.  It is by His Law that all people and allnations will be judged.   That Law, then,is a good standard by which to rule nations and by which to evaluate various“political views.”

This princess of buffoonery argues that “freewill” – the will, apparently of any craven miscreant or Lawbreaker – issomehow sacrosanct and free from the judgment!

“Free will” is just, uh, holy and judgment-free!  Got to be protected!  Downright inviolable!

Now what is obviously wrong with such a posture?  Such a philosophy, even? 

It is Lawless!  Itacknowledges no foundation for ethics but the mind and whims of each solitaryperson! 

Asininity on display, here! Come on!  You mean we go with“everyone does what is right in his own mind”? 

Anyone’s morality and legal system is okay? 

Come, fool!  Let usreason together.  God gave us the Big Ten– wonderful foundation for ethics and a means of discriminating between Goodand Evil.
