Play Me a Requiem

(Fresh off my walk around the holy town of Wilmington)
Play me a requiem or two When I’m through; Not much else you can do. Oh it’s true when it’s done And an end has come to all fun, That you’ll be back to face the Son And He will bring up your sin, But your soul He will also win! You are a minuscule tinkle Hardly worth a flush; The Maker looks at you with a blush. But then over Him comes a hush As the Son to you makes His rush! He reaches down way deep, Sees those sins even in your sleep And even as you whine and weep He has already come to your aid And given you more than a band-aid; His very life for you is given! You to heaven will be driven.
