Sometimes We Stand Alone

Sometimes we stand alone Wishing we could all go home, And sometimes we have people around, The kind that are rare to be found. Diligent to serve the King They don’t hold back a thing. Standing for Truth with benevolence, The deeds of this life are evidence That He’s got them under His care And whether they’re going here or there They’re in it for that long haul Not lookin’ for the fun of that Ball. Those school dances are all long past; They’re committed to things that last! So may the Lord keep blessing those two: Friends who are faithful and true. And when it’s all said and done They’ll be up there having that fun With those who have kept up the run That race that leads to the Son.
