You might be a dope And just need a rope ‘Round your neck to give a scare. ‘T’s what it takes sometimes before we care ‘Bout what is right and what is good For us and our neighborhood. You might be a fool Who thinks he’s cool To do his own stupid thing And everybody’s bell to ring, But we got no time for your crime; Go ahead, fool, and do your time! You’ll get yours in the end And don’t even pretend That the fault was other than yours; Get some hope and off the dope, Salvation on top of some soap. A body may be clean, But the heart’s still mean Unless it’s transformed by the Son! Come to Him and give up the run.
