“All He’s Ever Been Is kind”?

Which god are you serving?

Ever read Job?  (Wasn’t treated too kindly by God.  Remember when He allowed the devil to “have his way” with that righteous man?  Wasn’t pretty – or kind.)

Were the Father and the Spirit “kind” to Jesus when they poured out the sins of the world upon Him – for the sake of the world – so that He suffered like no other human being?

Nah!  It is really a kind of stupid song which overlooks the real attributes of God, most notably and summarily of which is holiness!!!!! 

He is separate from sin, corruption, lies, and death (couldn’t hold Him when He gave Himself over Death to, ironically, conquer death!).

“Kind” doesn’t rank among his attributes.  He is holy, righteous, just, and merciful.  He is love, but love isn’t always kind. It can be rough.
