Amaziah Didn’t Make No Sense

2 Chron. 25:10-20

Now, Amaziah didn’t make no sense! Had a win with the sons of Judah; Whooped up on those Edomites, (11) Then followed the gods of those he whipped! (15) What a fool!  Was his mind unzipped? A prophet tried to show him his buffoonery, But he wanted a fight with Israel. (17) Said, “Come on! Let’s face each other! Get it on, brother to brother!” “Well, what’s up Thorn Bush?” said Joash “Come on! Let me kick your ass! You think you’re somethin’ ’cause you beat Edom? Ain’t nothin’!  You must be dumb! (19) Y’all know you got nothin’ on us;  Believe that! A word you can trust!” But Amaziah wouldn’t give a listen; (20) The consequence for seeking gods of Edom.
