Amnon’s Hate for Tamar

(2 Sam 13)

Amnon’s hate for Tamar was great (15) Said to her, “Get up and go away!” “What? No! You done me wrong, My Man! How you gonna send me off like this? Do me like that and treat me like piss? What’s in that wicked mind of yours? Are all your brains stuck in your drawers? You can’t just up and send me on And just like that your sin be gone!” But all that did was make him madder. He cast her out and all were sadder; (17) Put those ashes on top her head, Crying as she went away. But there would come another day! No, that wouldn’t be the end of it all; Absalom, a brother, took up the cause To bust some heads and break those jaws. Got that Amnon drunk on wine; Jumped on him and beat that swine. (29) (Chapter thirteen verse twenty-nine)
