Amnon Was a Decadent Dude

2 Sam 13 (A.m. on 18 June, 2021)

Amnon was a decadent dude; Treated that girl right rude. She was the sister of the son of David; Didn’t matter, he wasn’t behavin’. Wanted her so bad, it made him sick. Her beauty roused his lust in a panic. Well, Amnon had a friend, Jonadab, ‘Bout as kind as the claws on a crab! Said I know a way you can get that girl; Listen to me now, got a plan to unfurl. You lie on your bed and pretend to be ill; She’ll care for you and you’ll get your thrill. So he did according to the plan And he ate that food from her hand. She baked him a cake; he said, “Lie with me sister!” (Wicked bold and worse than sinister!) “Well no my brother!  Don’t do such a thing! People will talk and bells will ring. And as for me, what about my reproach? You need a counselor;  got to find a coach.” But David wouldn’t give a listen In her eyes all he saw was that glisten.
