“And Stuff”?

My KLOVE plays some good Jesus-praising music and it is always good to hear folk testify to their travels from darkness to Light.  But it is good to be more precise about what conversion is all about.  It has to do with that “thing” called the “Church” – that “Body of Christ” that “Community of Saints” which manifests Jesus to the world and in which one may “feed upon Him” through the Supper (Communion, the Eucharist, the Table).

It is more than just good “stuff.”   It is the presence of God: the Father, Spirit, and Son!  Converts must complete their conversion and continue in their new life by feeding upon Him with that Community of Saints. 

And if KLOVE wishes to assist converts in their continued growth and discipleship, it ought to exhort them to join a church!  (Donating to KLOVE is no substitute for joining and donating to a local church!)

Christians can do both: donate to KLOVE and pay their tithes to the local church.  Best to get the local church to put KLOVE on its benevolence pay roll.
