Blessings From Heaven

Apart from heaven, The greatest joy is our eleven. What gems they are, Walking in truth among us; An asset to our body politic, Advocating for true justice As defined by God’s Word. (Of course!  How else to define That which is quite sublime! We need revelation from on high And, indeed, we got it! Those prophets and apostles And God, Himself, incarnate Has revealed to us what is right And, don’t forget, what is wrong!) Well, those children are not just an option; They are what God calls a “blessing”! So, don’t be a fool and think it to be cool To avoid such gifts as you drift Along with ideas other than God’s! Believe Him, rather than the frauds Who tell you that they are a drag Or an “inconvenience” – to put it politely. Give thanks and rejoice in those gifts You will get through troubles and rifts.
