Bottles on the Bookcase

Those bottles sitting on a bookcase With a knife from Takur and Sunil, Refugees from the East Whom we met in Germany Looking for peace in the West Taken in by a fellow from the base. Col. Lembers had given them a place; He found them while they made the art Providing them shelter and a new start. Don’t know how long they stayed around Or where today they might be found. We took them, Mom and Dad Bray Into our home for while to stay Until they could fine their way West All the way to the bountiful U.S. Need passports, paperwork and money To make it to the land of fun and honey. Pleasant memories rise up now and then And fill my heart with thanksgiving To Him Who saves and sustains And relieves people of their pains.
