Dad Was a Navy Man

I was born in a town Named after St. James. Dad was a navy man of Jersey fame. Moved around the country, Crossed it two times And we didn’t whine About being uprooted From places and friends. We learned how to bend And those letters to send. ‘Twas actually lots of fun Burning those “clinics” they say. (I said nothing to this day.) It was a way to save those Whose moms went astray To kill their very own, Left in misery to groan.
