Goliath Done Lost His Head

When they said he was dead, they fled “Goliath done lost his head!” Yeah, he was dead.  Gone the dread! All red with his blood on the ground, All around, with no life to be found, Food for the beasts and the hounds! Shame on those nasty Philistines! The killer was a man in his teens! Little man whipped up on a giant Courageous faith and was defiant! The heathen went a screamin’. They were scared ’cause  it was seemin’ Like they were all a dreamin’! O what to the world can be said? Goliath done lost his head! He was dead, yeah dead He cut off the Philistine’s head Dead! That’s what they said He took up a stone Was all alone Slung it in the air And it landed right there. Yeah he was down On the ground While the soldiers stood around. And that’s how the Lord beats armies! Don’t need those lukewarm smarmies Boy was tough.  He was rough. Bowed and said, “We had enough!” “We’re runnin’ away Call it a day! Not givin’ up to those Jews. Ain’t’ got nothin’ to lose!
