Ikeman the Eggman

Ikeman the Eggman spreads that grease All over the stove every morn’ But I don’t mind a little chore Been doin’ such since before he was born. He’s a good lad, we know, always on the go Teaching school and coaching wrestling, If not for him and Petra, we’d be empty-nesting. And I don’t know if that’d be any fun; Kids keep you movin’ and on the run. Yeah we liked our eleven! Better than a mere six or seven! They keep us with all kinds of news Of coming and going and throwing Their whims to the arms of “Fate” But truly they’re keeping all their dates Not with random dances and chances But with the One Who orders time And gives that life most sublime So it’s thanks we give every day For the Life, the Truth, and the Way
