Joseph A. Bray Jr.

Back in Paterson long ago Was born a Bray named Joe. Went to Annapolis in ’47; Developed a taste for heaven. Graduated in fifty-one Part of the class, “second to none.” Met a stewardess on a plane; Beverly Holmstrom changed her name. Gave birth right a way to five little Brays; Mike came out in California, Followed by Jamie, Jodie, Dan, and Tom Born around the country, town to town. Germany was the last place they lived together; He taught them more than math and the weather Taught them right and not to do wrong And always carried the message with a song. His way, by example, will carry on Through many-a grand-daughter and -son. Thanks be to God for parents – the best! Who train their children to pass the test. Life is short and death is cure They pointed us to Jesus – the only cure.
