Judges: Just and Otherwise

One judge finds me guilty And sentences me to ten years And a whole lot of restitution money; Another judge reverses the case And I go back to court. An Alford plea gets me six (Over a guilty plea for five). Satisfied, I do my time on the six Only later to find that restitution Was omitted in the legal shuffling, And I am free from the unconscionable Duty to pay money to baby-killers For the destruction of their death camps. Praise God for just judges! And may He damn those who do evil, And deliver us from their grasp Upon our nation and its laws.
