Last Rites

(1245, 1425 on 27 Oct, 2021)

You have no right to Last Rites. Such is a privilege bestowed upon The condemned by the people of God Where opportunity to convey them is provided: Prayers, confessions, and authoritative pronouncements Of forgiveness from the Almighty of all sins In the name of the Triune God. You have an appointment for judgment By the holy God in whose image You were made and which image you defiled By your sin in Adam, your father, And by your own personal sins. Repent, then, before you die And free your righteous Savior and Judge (From His duty to punish, He won’t budge.) To make a wonderful and mighty transfer, Putting all your guilt upon Himself. There is to be found no greater wealth Than deliverance from that eternal fire, So jump upon it with all desire!
