On Divine Shuffling

I was laicized by no one. My status as a teacher never changed; The disbanding of a church And the shuffling of its people Dispersed into new assemblies Is a feature of the Spirit’s movements. He does what He wills apart from our thrills Or objections to His choices and decrees. Sometimes we are in for a squeeze As He shapes us for higher matters. Sometimes it shames; sometimes flatters. Be happy to be a  ball on the table Smacked around by His pool stick. He knows how to put you in that hole And He is able to scrape and make you whole. So up and at ’em after you’ve been down! There is no time for you to lie around.
