Out of the Darkness

Out of the darkness, out of the din Time is now to turn from that sin; No time to waste when He’s standing there Whether you’re warm, hot or bare. He has for you all the right care Focused upon that needful soul On which the world has taken its toll. He’s able to fix up your mistakes For you as well as His name’s sake. That’s right!  He’s got a name to keep; Not to be messed up by a creep. If you want to be on His good side, Get that heart of yours opened up wide So you can take on His commands And do whatever He demands. Not supposed to float like a dope; Buck on up an don’t just hope. Do your duty and follow His Word. Might sometimes seem quite absurd, But so did Jesus to those Pharisee whores. Looked like He was closin’ doors When He was opening up the way For those who loved the light of day Rather than the way of the fools Who think that the path to life is school: Education and gettin’ that position Without a change of the heart condition.
