“Peace”

So says some colorfully zealous scribbling on the fence of a residence on a well-traveled street which I pass as I stroll around my hometown streets in Wilmington.

Hmm.  Needs some clarification!  (The Nazis called for peace among the Germans after they seized power.  Context is important .  .  . Just sayin’ . . . )

Yes, peace is the command given to those under his control by every tyrant.   It isn’t just the dreamy wish of happy hippies.

A more wholesome cursory exhortation would be “Justice!  Then Peace!”

Ah, but then we would need to define “justice” and to do that, we would need to know the “truth.”  Indeed,  it is truth that defines justice.

And where to we find the truth?

The same place we find the Way and the Life:  Jesus.    And what are the commands and the law that he affirmed to be the foundation for justice?  The Big Ten.
