Serving Your Country!

“Serving your country” can be a good deal If you’re doing it in America! Get a free education at Annapolis Or West Point or Colorado Springs. Yeah, they pay your way all day! What a deal for such noble service! Now, I didn’t mind Annapolis; Met some excellent men when I was there. And I don’t denigrate the military; Got some nations out there we got to beat, And like the firemen or the police, We’re glad for them in emergency, But there are many ways a fellow can serve. And sometimes it takes a little nerve: You got to blow those “clinics” away! It’s the way, I say, we got to play. Can’t put up with such “toleration” Of bloodshed throughout the nation; Sittin’ around, smilin’ every day, As if we got nothin’ to say Or a match to light up a fuse And to celebrate with joy and booze, The burning of a “clinic” to the ground. Oh, now that’s where joy can be found!
