Slavery Was Okay

How, one may wonder, back in the day Did folks think that slavery was okay? Blind as they were back then, There remain many today in the din Blinded by that selfishness we call sin. Yeah, folks justify the butchery of a baby Just as they turned a blind eye to slavery. It is the selfish decadence of humanity To snub God and despise His decree. Love one another like you ought your brother. Don’t put on sin that despicable cover Just to escape your awesome selfishness; You know it always leaves you in a mess. Make that confession and escape your prison. Repent and come to the One and Only Son. You can trust the Father, the Spirit and Jesus. Your delinquency won’t deliquesce, So come to Him to find true rest!
