Semper Vigilans Fortis Semper Paratus et Fidelis And semper my temper Calls me to do what’s right, Not what I please, To be strong, prepared and faithful, Keeping my hands on the handle. God’s Word that guides my life Keeps me with child and wife So anything I do Goes first through You, The Boss of all the world, Which to confusion was hurled On that day of rebellion By that hellion Born not of the bosom Of a nasty woman, That sweet little Eve Whom that Devil deceived On that miserable day, So they say, That day of sin, That fall when all Went dark within. No, that Devil is the one Who messed with the Son Long before He came down. But he’s been “done in” by the Lord Who hung on that board, Nails through His hands and feet. Then He took that seat After He beat that cheat And death when He arose. And now He glows With the glory of hosts Who worship the Father forever Him and Spirit most holy together.
