The Hope of the Resurrection

The hope of the resurrection is not a “I hope He picks me” kind of a hope or a “I hope He picks my kids” kind of hope.  No.  It is a hope of confident anticipation.  It is a waiting hope like the people in a church with the groom facing them as they wait for the bride to walk down the isle.  They know she is coming!  And they are enjoying a hope of her walk before their eyes in all her beauty and joy.

We are His bride and He looks upon as a beautiful treasure that He has won and has rights to wed.  And as His bride we come down this isle of life in the world,  having prepared ourselves, performing out duties.  And the world looks on.  People are watching.  They are amazed at our grace and charm and they commit their respect to us.

The angels look on as we walk down the isle of history.  The church is a beautiful bride and the angels are in awe and they respect her.
