The Lord’s Poet

I am the Lord’s poet And don’t I know it! I put down a word or two And why right now, not later? Well, soon your life is through And then what you gonna do? Got to get up and do your duty now. Don’t matter if you don’t know how; The commands are downright easy! Keep away from all that sleazy. Obey the Law and do what’s right. Shed the world and stay in the Light. There is Truth and Justice to proclaim In heaven is where you find your fame. The world will one day pass away, Got to feed on His word all day. There ain’t enough time or space To talk about all His grace.
