The Praises of Men

The praises of men are most ungratifying Why should we want to be the recipient of them? It is the approval of God we must seek, Him to please with hearts most meek. Seek Him first and to the last breath you breathe Only for His approval do you writhe and seethe. From false approval take your due leave Churning and yearning to be His best; In such pursuit you find true rest And peace beyond your imagination, Not to mention that eternal salvation. So buck up and bring Him that glory; That is the purpose of your life’s story.
