The Supper of Our Lord

The Lord Jesus is wholly present In the gathering of each holy church. As each partakes of that holy supper He does imbibe life that no other Gathering can supply, no matter how high Or lofty the company or occasion, Nor what the doctrinal persuasion. Christ is present with His holy followers Who gather humbly in His name Holily holding fast to the Confession And walking in light and truth. So pressing on we eat heartily And feast on the Bread of Life. He gives us the energy to fight And overcome all fear and strife. We uphold the truth and bow To nothing any would contrarily espouse. We feed on Him as He breathes on us His life evermore that we need From day to day as we heed His word and follow His lead.
