Too Busy with Joy

Died and went to hell, waitin’ for the “rapture.” Thought he’d wait and see that evidence And then put his faith square on the Lord. (Didn’t want to waste time with Christians and get bored.) Well, ’twas a shame it turned out such a way, That in pain he’s gonna spend many-a day And many-a night with very little rest. In fact probably gonna be none o’ that. Gonna squirm in a trap like a rat On which the Owner of the house has no mercy! No, that nasty little nuisance is caught And nobody up there will be distraught; They’ll all be too busy with joy and pleasure In a place of endless bliss and eternal treasure.
