We Free Americans Can Choose

In America, we got everything to lose; We can follow any god we want to choose! Got freedom to be any kind of heretic! (We can suck on things that make a fellow sick.) Might be a “Witness” or a Wierville fan; Might even be a member of the Ku Klux Klan, But we are FREE to do what we want to do! Can be a polytheist and go the Mormon way Or worship the stars, the moon and the day. Yeah, Freedom is our god and we like him (or her). It don’t bother us if it gives a stir; Some folks are stuck on that “only Way”; The Triune God is the One, they say, Who saves us from that eternal burn (Which we did more than truly earn). Well, in fact, what if they are right? Best to find out and give up the fight; He won it already and calls us to bow: To call Him Lord, God of the world. Yeah, the Almighty Son came down Sent by the Father and the Spirit to the ground Where the Everlasting One died for sinners Who deny who He is, The Maker and Redeemer. Praise the Father, Spirit and Son Don’t reject or disrespect Anyone! All are due the glory that is Theirs; God has His and with us it He shares! All thanks be to the Son who spent Himself; Came down to us like some humble little elf. The Almighty came down, gave up the crown. Could have just watched us, stood around, But He took our place and the punishment due Everyone on earth, including me and you.
