What if Mom (Hadn’t Gone Past Three)?

Now if Mom hadn’t gone past three, There wouldn’t be a Bessie; And if not past four, Who would draw on the door? Why there wouldn’t even be a Perse! (We’ll get around to that Merse.) It could be a lot worse What if we had no Alethea Or no one to trouble or bother ya? Or imagine a world without Ike! Had to get away and take a hike; Exercise came as a necessity Just as regular as trip to the potty. And what about Cea and Sem What would we do without them? What if no Petra for Epiphany to care? And where Jonas without an Elli To keep that laugh in his belly? Well Luther came along as the latest; Don’t know which will be the best or the basest. Mercy and blessings come with every child Training our tempers to be mild. We’re gonna thank the Lord for each one And pray they all follow the Son.
