Where the Music Went!

It is the motto of my local – you might say – “oldies” station, playing the popular music of the late sixties and seventies.  Indeed, it was excellent music, about which Larry Norman crooned, “Why should the devil have all the good music?”!

Yes, it was good, Godless music.  High quality use of instruments and voices.  A great beat that made you “move my feet”  – as, again, Larry Norman put it.

Let us pray, brethren, that those musicians composing music which honors the triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – will artfully and skillfully attain ever more to excellence in the arts and especially in lyrical music where the message of truth and salvation can be literally conveyed.
