Worthless Offerings

Isaiah 1:1-10

Worthless offerings And abominable incense! What’s ‘at you’re bringin’ to me? Bunch o’ offerings from evildoers! (v.4) Alters your candidacy for higher class ladies; Gonna have to settle for lower class women! Said they’re corrupt and abandoned the Lord. (4) Gone down into hard core rebellion; (5) All committed themselves to be hellions! Their sick in the head and faint in the heart From the sole of the foot to the brain. Crazy!  They done went insane! (6) Got bruises, welts, and raw wounds; (6) Ain’t no bandages and no medicine. I’m sayin’ it’s downright desolate; (7) Cities been burned with fire And folks eatin’ up your land. Yeah, it’s a real desolation People movin’ in from other nations! But the Lord did leave us a remnant, (9) More than just an uncle or an aunt. Hear the Lord, you rulers of Sodom! (10) Want to be on top or on the bottom? Want to stay like the people of Gomorrah? Just keep livin’ and actin’ like a whore! But if you want to repent and change your ways, You’ll get some peace the rest of your days.
